Jacks or Better is a standard Video Poker game with a ‘Double up Gamble’ feature. The player must achieve a win equal to a pair of Jacks or higher to qualify for an award. Stakes range from £0.25 to £50 a hand. The player will select the bet per game prior to pressing Deal. Alternatively, pressing deal will repeat the previous bet selection.

Game structure

The game uses a standard deck of 52 cards with no jokers. Five cards are dealt to reveal the first hand, the player must choose to hold or discard any or all of the five cards. Wins from the initial deal will be automatically held. The user has the option to de-select any automatically held cards before the draw is made. Having made a decision the player must press the ‘Draw’ button (replacing the ‘Deal’ one temporarily) and any cards not held will be briefly replaced by face down cards before the new ones are dealt in their place. The hand will be analysed by the game and any prize awarded as appropriate.

Double Up Gamble Feature

The gamble is a 50/50 Red & Black accumulator. The three options presented to the user before each gamble are Red, Black or Collect. If the user selects Red/Black and is incorrect in their guess they lose any amount that they had previously won on that hand. If their Red/Black choice is correct, the player doubles their previous win amount and is given the opportunity to gamble again. All gamble sessions are capped at 5 attempts, at which point your win is automatically accepted. With the gamble feature enabled you can gamble on any win of £2500 or less.
